Craps is a casino game, which origin is not so clear. There are even some different strategies which define the origin of Craps. One take is that in ancient times rolling of bones was done to divine the will of the gods. It is thought that from this evolved both dice and various dice games such as Craps. Another theory says that the game evolving from an early Arab game passed through England, France and North America. Craps was brought over to North America from Europe in the early 1700's. This entertaining game was first played on river boats in the United States and then moved west with the frontier as the country grew. In nowadays we differentiate two general types of Craps - "Street Craps" and "Bank Craps". Street Craps is the variety of this amusing casino game you would find being played in informal conditions. In it the betting is simplified. Someone of the players must cover the bet in order for the game to progress. Bank Craps is the form of Craps played in casinos. The betting is more complex and the house covers the bets. All casino players are in effect playing against the house. The player who is rolling the dice in Craps is called the "shooter". "Come Out" roll is the name of the first roll in a round of Craps . If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, they win. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3 or 12, that's a Craps and they lose. If any other number is rolled it becomes the "Point". The objective of the "Come Out" roll is to set the Point, which can be 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10.
